But widely speaking Holograms can be divided in four main categories which are listed below:

2D HOLOGRAMS AND 3D HOLOGRAMS

2D Holograms and 3D Holograms are the most basic form of holograms and the color of these holograms change when viewed from different angles.These holograms have surfaces like foreground, background and middle ground.They evoke the sense of deepness when they are on top of each other. In general, the forefront has the brand or the elements that needs to be emphasized, the background has the forms regularly or irregularly placed. However, the middle layer may contain any graphics that may be seen at a time and may not be seen at another time (Flip Flop). The Level or Security is normal for such holograms.

DOT MATRIX HOLOGRAMS

Dot Matrix Holograms are more secure and very attractive to look at when compared to other holographic techniques. Two-dimensional textures of dot matrix technology are created by placing the microscopic pixels side by side. It is conducive to create vivid colors and bright effects. Such effects are seen with the degree and clarity making easy for the end user to perceive the effects easily. It is a technology that could be applied along with other hologram techniques. Thus, holograms containing deepness, with bright view and several security elements can be created. The Level of Security is high.

E-BEAM HOLOGRAMS

One of the most recent holographic technologies, e-beam is conducive to creating high resolution holograms. Hologram Labels and Stickers

Holograms are three dimensional photographic images that appear to have depth. They're superimposition of two-dimensional surfaces that show absolutely precise, three-dimensional images of real objects. When soaked in light, the hollogram gives different view of the image from different angles.

Hologram is printed onto a set of ultra-thin curved silver plates, which are made to diffract light. When the beam hits the silver plate, the reflections diffract into each specific color, creating two offset images made up of combination of colors that reflect the image of original object. This results in formation of 3D images that are known as Hollograms. It basically comprises of interference patterns between the two images.
